Spring Carnival Friday May 12th, 2017

This year's Spring Carnival is shaping up to be, yet another, SUPER FUN event!!!!!!

First off I want to mention that many teachers have sent home volunteer requests for your children's classrooms which is first priority!!  

If you can fill another time slot or if your children's classroom is covered here is what PTA needs:

Ticket Booth/ 4:45 - 7:30 - 4 people

Spring Carnival Set Up/ 3:15 to 5:00 - 8 people

Spring Carnival Clean Up/ 7:30 to 8:30 - 8 people

Spring News and Events!

Tuesday, May 10 - 4:30 p.m.  There will be a general meeting in the elementary/middle school cafeteria.  Snacks will be provided by our President, Rodney Ernhart, who will go over some of what we have accomplished this year.  Most importantly, how can you help out for our upcoming events?
  • Thursday, May 12 - 10:30 a.m.  This is our annual TEACHER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON!  We desperately need food donations!  There will be a luncheon in the Middle School Home Ec Room for all staff in the elementary & middle school.  There will be a "Grab & Go' luncheon in the high school teachers' lounge.  We need main dishes, salads, desserts, or whatever you would like to bring!  Please respond via email with what you would like to bring.  THANK YOU!
  • Tuesday, May 17 - all dayThis is the FOURTH ANNUAL FUN RUN!  We need volunteers to help set up early in the morning - cutting bananas, setting up water, etc. We also need volunteers to mark laps on the bibs of the participating runners.  Again, we will need help cleaning up after the event.  Whoever gets the most donations in Grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8 will win prizes.  This year, all three prizes will be  mini ipads!  In the first year of this event we raised $23K and purchased a C.O.W. (computers on wheels).  Last year we split the money in three ways - $4500 went towards our lower playground, $5000 went towards our upper playground, and $4500 is being spent on an exciting new project that will benefit all students, teachers, staff and our community.  A covered pavilion with picnic tables, lighting and countless opportunities for generations to come is in the works.  More will be covered on this project at the meeting and in the students' Thursday folders.
  • Friday, June 3 - after school   This is our last event of the school year - BIGFORK PTA ANNUAL SPRING CARNIVAL!  We will need help to man games, set up, and clean up.  This is always a fun family event.  There will be lots of fun games and prizes, food, a band, mini golf, a bounce house, and petting zoo!  Please plan to come, bring your family and friends, volunteer for an hour, and HAVE A GREAT YEAR-END BLAST!

    Santa shoppe!

    Hi there Everyone!  Happy Holidays!  This week is the annual Santa Shoppe that the FOBS Bigfork Elves sets up at the school each year!  It is such a wonderful little store that they set up.  It is a great opportunity for the kiddos to purchase low cost gifts for their families or friends.  Volunteer help is needed with set-up, sales and wrapping at the Santa Shoppe.  If you wish to sign up to volunteer, please call the Master Elf, Debbie Ingram.  Her number is 406-885-7714!

    BOOK FAIR in November

    Book Fair

    November 10th & November 11th

    Tuesday, November 10th from 8:15-3:00: classes to come in and make their wish lists!  

    Then in the evening we have an open house for parents to come with the kiddos to purchase the books.  We are going to have a fun book mark making craft center, art displayed by Mrs. Epperly's art classes and delicious treats!

    Take Your Parent to Lunch Day! October 14th!

    It's PTA's National Take your Parent to Lunch Day!!  
    We will celebrate on Wednesday October 14th from 11-1:00

    The Food Corp and Ginny have planned a delicious menu with all local ingredients and the meal will cost $3.00!

    We would like 5 volunteers to support this event, to keep the lines moving and to take money.

    Welcome back!

    School starts on August 31, 2015! Welcome back, from your PTA! It's going to be a fantastic year, and we look forward to your involvement with the PTA. Mark your calendars for the Bigfork Elementary and Middle School PARENT NIGHT, an informational and fun evening with your child's teachers that will take place on Wednesday, September 9th. Session 2 and 3 are repeats for those of you who have more than one teacher to visit:
